VIP Beekeeping & Beer Tasting Experience @ The Charterhouse, London
Welcome to an exclusive afternoon of urban beekeeping and honey beer tasting in one of London's hidden historical icons.
Dating back to the 14th century but only recently open to the public, The Charterhouse is a glimpse into a London that very few have been privileged enough to see. A peaceful haven, in the very centre of the city.
This summer, Hiver has partnered with Bermondsey Street Bees and The Charterhouse to bring you a unique and interactive experience in this unforgettable setting; beekeeping, craft beer tasting and a raw honey education, all curated and hosted by the foremost authorities in their fields.
Enjoy a welcome drink as you get used to your new surroundings before an introduction from Hiver and Bermondsey Street Bees about the world of honey beer and urban beekeeping. You'll deep dive into the history of bees and beekeeping as well and unique tales from The Charterhouse itself.
You will then get suited up and hands-on with the bees on the Queen's Walk before walking back through the captivating collection of buildings where your hosts will take you through a tutored tasting of the three Hiver honey beer styles and a sampling of raw honeys from around the world.
You will be guided by the Lambeth Palace beekeeper, Dale Gibson, one of only three honey sommeliers in the country, Sarah Wyndham Lewis and the experts in honey beer, Hiver.
Each guest will take away their very own connoisseurs collection to enjoy at home, complete with Raw English Honey set, honey beer gift pack and Planting For Honeybees guide.
You are then welcome to explore the rest of The Charterhouse at your leisure including the chapel, the museum and on-site gift shop.
This is the most complete beekeeping and foodie experience in the country. One for the super foodie, beer aficionado or those who love access to secret spaces in London.
